Applicants shall be required to indicate a maximum of three preferred centres/locations from among those notified within the State for which they are applying. Allotment of training seats shall be made strictly on the basis of merit, the preferences indicated by the applicant, and the availability of seats at the respective centres/locations. However, mere indication of preference shall not confer any right or entitlement to training at a particular centre/location. The Bank reserves the right to allot training seats at any of the notified centres/locations within the selected State, in accordance with administrative exigencies and the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment – Age Details

Candidates must be at least 20 years old and no older than 28 as of the deadline (01-05-2026). According to Government of India standards for reserved groups, age relaxation is applicable; nevertheless, NAPS-registered applicants must be under 34 as of January 5, 2026.

BOB Apprentice – Education Qulification

Graduation Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent
qualifications recognized by the Central Government.

BOB Apprentice – Duration of training

Duration of training is of one year.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment – stipend

The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits. The Stipend will be paid to apprentices on completion of each month after adjusting Loss of Pay, if any.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment – Selection Mode

Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of i) Online Examination, ii) Document Verification iii) Test of local language of the State, iv) Medical Fitness.

(i) Online written test:

The structure of online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

There will be NO negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. Merit list will be drawn State wise and Category wise. Candidates qualified in the test will be placed in location/centre in order of their preference according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories. In case more than one candidate scores same marks as cut-off marks in the merit list (common marks at cut off point) such candidate will be ranked in the merit list according to their age in descending order in respective States and categories.

(ii) Document Verification

All the candidates applying for the apprenticeship with Bank of Baroda would be admitted to the written test provisionally on the basis of the information furnished by them in the online application. Their eligibility w.r.t. age/qualification/category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), etc. will be determined only at the time of document verification after they qualify the written test.


Candidates will have to appear for the Document Verification at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State/UT applied for, at his/her own expenses. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending the same. List of Documents to be produced at the time of Document Verification.

Documents to be Produced at the time of Document Verification

  1. Printout of valid Language Proficiency Test Intimation Letter/mail from Bank.
  2. Valid system generated printout of the online application / Registration / Enrollment form.
  3. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate from Competent Municipal Authority or SSLC / Std. X Certificate with DOB).
  4. Photo Identity Proof (Government-issued ID).
  5. Individual Semester/Year-wise Marksheets and Certificates for educational qualifications including final degree/diploma certificate.
  6. CGPA to Percentage conversion certificate (if grades awarded), issued by the appropriate authority.
  7. Caste Certificate in prescribed Government of India format (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates) – OBC-NCL certificate must be issued within one year as on date of advertisement.
  8. Disability Certificate in prescribed format issued by District Medical Board (for PwBD candidates).
  9. Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility.

(iii) Test of Local Language

The candidates applying for training seats of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State/UT, as mentioned below. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be eligible to be engaged for apprenticeship. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet having studied the specified opted local language of the State/UT will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State/UT applied for, at his/her own expenses. Bank of Baroda will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending the said test.

(iv) Medical Fitness

Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

Candidates are advised to note that the Final Selection will be subject to the following:

  • Meeting the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions as specified in the advertisement.
  • Securing the minimum cut-off marks in the online examination, as determined by the Bank.
  • Successful verification of documents pertaining to Date of Birth, Category, Educational Qualifications, and other details provided in the online application.
  • Qualifying in the prescribed local language proficiency test of the respective State.
  • Being declared medically fit in accordance with the Bank’s requirements.

Wait-List

A State-wise and Category-wise Wait List of successful candidates will be published to address vacancies arising from non-acceptance or non-reporting by candidates selected in the First Merit List.


This Wait List shall remain valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of results for the current engagement of apprentices, or until the commencement of the next engagement exercise—whichever occurs earlier.

BOB Apprentice Recruitment – Application Fee

Candidates must only pay non-refundable fees and notification charges online. Only when the fee is deposited online with the bank on or before the fee payment deadline is the registration process finalized. Once paid, the fee cannot be held in reserve for another exam or selection, nor can it be reimbursed on any account.
