SBI Apprentice Recruitment Age Details
Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.04.2026. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2006 and not earlier than 02.04.1998 (both days inclusive). Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and EWS candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates .

Duration of training is of one year.
SBI Apprentice Recruitment stipend
The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.
SBI Apprentice Recruitment – Selection Mode
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) Online written test and (ii) Test of local language (iii) Medical Examination.
(i) Online written test:
The structure of online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

Exam Centers
The online examination will be held in JULY 2026 (Tentatively). The Tentative List of examination centers are as under:
Candidate should choose the name of the Centre where he/she desires to take the examination. SBI, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the examination centre
and/or add some other centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility etc. SBI also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre
other than one he/she has opted for.
Negative Marks for Wrong Answers
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subject. Merit list will be drawn State wise and category wise. Candidates. qualified in the test will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories. In case more than one candidate scores same marks as cut-off marks in the merit list (common marks at cut off point) such candidate will be ranked in the merit list according to their age in descending order in respective States and categories.
(ii) Test of Local Language
The specified local languages of the states are as mentioned in Para A of the advertisement. The candidates applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State as mentioned in Para A of the advertisement. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State applied for, at his/her own expenses., the SBI will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending said test.
(iii) Medical Examination.
Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
WAIT LIST:
A Wait list (State-category wise) will be maintained for one year from the date of result of the engagement of apprentices or next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be released only once from this waitlist against non-joining subject to availability of qualified candidates.
SBI Apprentice Recruitment – Application Fee
Candidates must only pay non-refundable fees and notification charges online. Only when the fee is deposited online with the bank on or before the fee payment deadline is the registration process finalized. Once paid, the fee cannot be held in reserve for another exam or selection, nor can it be reimbursed on any account.
