Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Government in Group „C‟ & „D‟ posts on regular basis, after availing the benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re-employment, are not eligible for reservation in ESM category and fee concession. However, such candidates can avail the benefit of reservation as ex-serviceman for subsequent employment if he immediately after joining civil employment, gives selfdeclaration/undertaking to the concerned employer about the date-wise details of application for various vacancies for which he had applied for before joining the initial civil employment as mentioned in the OM No: 36034/1/2014-Estt (Res) dated 14.08.2014 issued by DoP&T.

SSC CGL Recruitment – Educational Qualification

Staff Selection Commission CGL – Selection Mode

A two-tier Computer Based Examination (CBE) is used for selection. In accordance with the protocol provided by SSC via Notice dated 02-06-2025, marks obtained in CBE performed in various shifts will be adjusted. Re-evaluation or re-checking of scores at any point is not permitted.

Negative marking in Tier-II: 1 mark per wrong answer in Section-I, II, III of Paper-I; 0.50 marks in Paper-II and Paper-III. Section-III (CKT) and Section-IV (DEST) are qualifying in nature. Each Paper-I portion must be qualified independently by candidates. Certain positions (CSS, MEA, AFHQ, SFIO, CBIC, Postal, etc.) have higher CKT and DEST requirements. For PwBD applicants who qualify for scribe, compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour is provided.
